How is the volumetric weight calculated for your quote?
With measurements in centimeters:
VOLUMETRIC WEIGHT = (LENGTH X WIDTH X HEIGHT) / 6,000
Example:
If a package has the following characteristics:
Gross weight: 30Kg.
Dimensions: 90 cm x 50 cm x 70 cm
We multiply the dimensions and we have 315,000 cm.
Volumetric weight = 315,000 / 6,000 = 52.5
As the volumetric weight (52.5) is greater than the gross weight (30), the first is the one considered to establish the air cargo transportation rate.
